June 17 - June 23: Test if the sources of the Self contained repository can be crossbuilt using the new inserted metadata information. Actually, following the schedule of the project [0], this is what I have to do until July 29. This step includes patches to solve cycles and solve crossbuild problems on some packages. I started a a Debian Unstable chroot and started using it to build the sources but I got problems because the currently unstable doesn't have the same version of libc6-dev for armel and amd64. This is a big problem since packages m-a: same cannot be from different versions. I had good discussions with josch, wookey and pehjota on how I should do this in practice. I'm going to choose an unstable debian snapshot that doesn't have conflicts due to different versions of packages for armel and amd64 packages. We started a repository [1] to keep track of the patches needed to do the bootstrap Debian. Next steps: Start patching files and update the repository [1] [0] https://wiki.debian.org/SummerOfCode2013/StudentApplications/GustavoAlkmim [1] https://gitorious.org/debian-bootstrap/gsoc2013
