Welcome to my personal page!

I am Carlos Alberto Astudillo Trujillo. I was born in Pitalito, Huila, Colombia. My parents' home is located in Bruselas, a "Corregimiento" of Pitalito. I received my bachelor degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Cauca, Colombia, and the MSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil, in 2009 and 2015, respectively. I was co-advised by Prof. Nelson Luis Saldanha da Fonseca and Prof^a. Juliana Freitag Borin during my master's thesis. My master's thesis received the 1st Place at the 29th Theses and Dissertations Contest (CTD), the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) and the 2016 Best Master's Thesis Award from the Institute of Computing (IC), UNICAMP. 

Currently, I am a PhD student in Computer Science at IC/UNICAMP. I am a member of the Computer Networks Laboratory under the advisement of Prof. Nelson Luis Saldanha da Fonseca. Between 2007 and 2010, I was a member of the GNTT, University of Cauca, Colombia. I was a scholarship holder of:

• the national program Young Researchers and Innovators "Virginia Gutiérrez de Pineda", sponsored by the Colombian Institute of Science and Technology (COLCIENCIAS);
• the Brazilian agencies FAPESP, CAPES and CNPq.

• Quality of Service in 4G & 5G Cellular Networks;
• Terminal Energy Efficiency in 4G & 5G Cellular Networks.
